Man Charged in 16 Year Old Girl’s Murder He Met Online
February 22, 2012 - Associated Press

Angela Allen, 16-years-old, was murdered in Sebastian County, Arkansas. The teenager went missing after telling a relative she was going for a walk. Her body was discovered stuffed into a blue, plastic barrel on land owned by the brother of the 36-year-old suspect, Lloyd Jones.

Jones is said to have met Angela on a social media website, Mbuzzy (http://www.mbuzzy.com). Investigators discovered Jones and Angela communicated via text messages on their cell phones. Jones reportedly told authorities that he picked up the 16-year-old on February 10th, at a hospital parking lot in Van Buren, AR, and drove her to the nearby Arkansas River. He couldn’t take her home because his girlfriends might get mad.

At the river, he began “making out” with Angela. When she disclosed her real age, Jones lashed out, violently hitting her in the chest and knocking her into the river. He thought Angela was unable to swim because her arms might have been injured when he hit her.

Jones was convicted of rape in 2001 after holding a box cutter to a woman’s throat, duct taping her mouth, and sexually assaulting her. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and released on parole in 2008.
